YOUR DATA, CLEARLY EXPLAINED
Privacy Policy
This policy explains what Void Drop stores, what is shared when you choose online features, and the controls available to you.
Effective September 14, 2026
Overview
Void Drop is developed and operated by Michael Matteis. The game does not contain advertising, does not use third-party advertising trackers, and does not require a Void Drop account.
Most progress and settings remain on your device. Online features are optional and use Apple Game Center. Arcade Season is an optional combined competition for Gate Rush, Coilbound, and Rift Skim. You choose whether to join; season participation is not required to play or use the individual Game Center leaderboards.
Information stored on your device
Void Drop stores game data locally so the app can operate, including:
- campaign, goal, Reactor, currency, and unlock progress;
- scores, records, equipped cosmetic finishes, and purchase entitlements;
- music, sound, haptic, accessibility, and tutorial preferences; and
- season consent, cached standings, queued scores, pending deletion requests, and archived beta records. Eligible queued scores sync after you join; archived beta scores do not enter the new season.
This information is not used for advertising or tracking. Removing the app may remove local information unless it is restored through Apple services or an app backup.
Apple services
Game Center
If you use Game Center, Apple processes your Game Center identity, display name, scores, and leaderboard activity under Apple's terms and privacy policy. Void Drop receives the Game Center information needed to authenticate you and submit or display leaderboard results. Core campaign and Endless Drop play do not require Game Center.
In-app purchases
Optional cosmetic purchases are processed by Apple through StoreKit. Void Drop receives product and transaction information needed to unlock and restore purchases, but does not receive your full payment card or bank details. Cosmetic finishes never change gameplay power.
Arcade Season and existing beta data
Choosing Join Global Season sends your saved bests for the three current arcade games to the ranking service. While you are joined, the app submits new season scores and refreshes your standings. Your display name, rank, and seasonal results are visible to other season participants. Earlier builds may show season participation as paused.
If you joined an earlier beta, your previously submitted display name and seasonal scores may remain in the ranking service until you request deletion. Your display name, rank, and seasonal results may be visible to other previous participants. Beta standings remain separate from the three-game launch season, which requires a new choice to join.
To join, sync, retrieve, or delete season data, Void Drop sends the following to its ranking service:
- your Game Center player identifier and display name;
- an Apple-provided Game Center identity proof;
- your eligible arcade scores, when you choose to join or submit a run.
After you join, requests may run when you complete a game, return to the app, or refresh your season data. Queued scores and deletion requests can retry after connectivity returns. These requests authenticate you, calculate standings, process deletion, and prevent abuse. This information is not used for advertising or cross-app tracking.
The ranking database does not retain your raw Game Center player identifier, raw Apple identity proof, or raw source IP address. It stores a pseudonymous player key, a hash of the proof used for a request, the request type and time, and—when available—a pseudonymous hash derived from the source IP. Each proof record expires after 10 minutes. Scheduled cleanup runs every five minutes, so expired proof and IP-hash records are normally deleted within about 15 minutes after receipt; cleanup can take longer if the job is delayed or the service is recovering.
To request deletion, open Rankings, choose Arcade Season from the Board menu, and tap Delete season data. Confirm Leave and Delete Season Data. If Game Center is disconnected, use Retry Game Center first. You can request deletion even if you participated on a different device, using the same Game Center account.
If the network is unavailable, deletion remains visibly pending and can be retried from the same screen. After the service confirms a successful request, your season profile and scores are deleted from every season. Local records and Apple Game Center leaderboards are not deleted.
Service providers and technical records
The Arcade Season service is hosted by Supabase. Network providers may process ordinary request information such as an IP address, device or app request metadata, timestamps, and diagnostic logs to deliver, secure, and maintain the service. These records are controlled by those providers' security and retention practices and may outlive the short-lived proof records described above. They are not used by Void Drop for advertising or tracking.
Apple processes information for the App Store, StoreKit, and Game Center under its own privacy practices. Void Drop does not sell your personal information.
Children
Void Drop is not designed to request a child's name, email address, precise location, or other direct contact information. Optional online features rely on Apple Game Center controls. If you believe a child has provided information improperly, contact us so it can be reviewed.
Your choices and deletion
- You can play the core game without using online rankings.
- You can manage Game Center through your Apple device settings.
- You can request deletion of existing season data from Rankings → Board → Arcade Season → Delete season data.
- You can use Restore Purchases in Settings for eligible StoreKit entitlements.
Changes and contact
This policy may be updated when Void Drop's features or legal requirements change. The effective date above will be revised when material changes are published.
